Join us for an exclusive conversation and screening of “End Game,” the Netflix documentary, on Monday March 18, 2019, 5:30-7:00pm, Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA, 101 Huntington Avenue, 12th Floor, Prudential Center, Boston, MA. This event is co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Coalition for Serious Illness Care and Honoring Choices Massachusetts, in collaboration with End Well Foundation.
The New York Times calls “End Game” a provocative and intimate look at how doctors, nurses, and patients cope with death. Following the screening, Dr. Shoshanna Ungerleider (pictured here) and a talented panel will engage in a thoughtful discussion about the film and efforts to educate the public about advance care planning and improving care for serious illness. Our panel members are:
- Ellen Goodman, Moderator. Founding Member of the Mass. Coalition for Serious Illness Care & Co-Founder and Director of The Conversation Project;
- Shoshana Ungerleider, M.D. Hospitalist, California Pacific Medical Center; Founder, End Well Symposium; and an executive producer of “End Game”;
- Rev. Gloria E. White-Hammond, M.D. Co-Pastor, Bethel A.M.E. Church, Boston, MA, and Swartz Resident Practitioner in Ministry Studies, Harvard Divinity School;
- Mark Zhang, D.O. MMSc Co-founder, Cake and Palliative Care physician.
As part of the discussion, Dr. Ungerleider will talk about her role in the making of the film. In addition to her clinical practice, she started the End Well Foundation and also founded the End Well Symposium, a non-profit media platform and annual event on design and innovation to improve the end of life experience.
